Dykstra revolutionized the sector and signed a new era for special effects, creating techniques used also today, like:

Miniatures in a very small scale;
New cameras designed specifically for miniature photography;
Blue screens;
A computer program that controlled the cameras’ movements.
That's how they did lightsabers, holograms, spaceships and other means of transport.
