Caring for Your Body
Caring for your brain
Caring for your heart
Caring for your soul
Habit 7 can help you cope with these problems
It is designed to help you keep your personal self sharp
This means regularly renewing and strengthening the four key dimensions of your life:
- The body
- The brain
- The heart
- Your soul
When caring for your body, a few good ways to keep your physical self sharp is to eat good food, relax in the bathtub, bike, lift weights, get enough sleep, practice yoga, etc. Also learn the skill of refusal when it comes to harmful things such as junk food or even drugs.

How can thinking of others help us to feel better about ourself?

What is one thing you can do for a friend or family member who might need your encouragement or support?
Strong Beliefs
BELIEVING in the right things helps your heart be STRONGER.


Find Humor in Life
Your soul is a very private area of your life. Your soul is the inner self inside of you.
Ways to care for your inner self (soul):
serving others
writing in my journal
going for a walk
writing music or poetry
thinkign deeply
listening to happy music
being yourself around your friends
You Can Do it
You're probably sharpening the saw without knowing it right now. You can sharpen the saw in more than one area at once. The best thing you can do is take time each day for self-renewal.
Whenever you're feeling upset or down, know that you're going to make it through.

Laugh- laughter is said to be the best medicine for when you are down.
Know that you will make it through this- this is just a rough patch but it won't last forever.
Sharpen your brain by:

Read a newspaper everyday
Always be open to new ideas
Learn life lessons from history
Practice critical thinking skills
Play challenging board games
Solve crossword puzzles
Name a way you sharpen your brain.
School is not the only way we get educated.
There is so much more to education then just grades. Grades are important but becoming a lifelong learner is more important.
What does it mean to be a lifelong learner?
We can learn in lots of ways and in lots of places.
