Transcript of Michelle Obama
Michelle was born on January 17, 1964.
She came home to her two parents Fraser and Marian Robinson and one older brother who was 2 named Craig.
Michelle Obama started Princeton University in 1981where she got a bachelors degree in Sociology.
Then she went to Harvard Law School to get her Law Degree.
They first met in 1989 when he came to be an associate at the law firm she worked for. In 1992, at age 28, she married Barack who was 31. They got married at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
On July 4th, 1998 Malia, their first daughter, was born and on June 7th 2001, Sasha, their second daughter was born.
Life Before Presidency
Obama ran for 2000 U.S. congress and lost. Then in 2004 he ran for U.S. senate and won. It became hard for Obama to work in Washington D.C. while the family lived in Chicago. Then in 2007 leading up to the 2008 election Michelle minimized her hours working at the University of Chicago Medical Center to support the family.
As a First Lady her compaign was for healthy eating for kids. She started a non-profit called Let's Move That pushes kids to go outside and move. Here is a link to her website: http://www.letsmove.gov/
Life in the White House
As the First Lady she is focused on keeping her role as a mom. And she works helping kids become healthy.

Last yeaI won a contest and the winner got to attend the first ever kids! It was amazing. This is a video of her speech at the state dinner.
