THEY ARE BEST DRESSED, WHOSE
DRESS NO ONE OBSERVES.
A Tool Kit for Professional Effectiveness
People are often affected by visual cues
Your first impression is heavily influenced by your manner of dress
You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but don't expect everyone to be as benevolent as you
When you look good, you feel good
People will make assumptions about your professionalism based on how you carry yourself
Professional dress includes posture and speech (no slouching or casual language)
Why Does This Matter?
BUSINESS LIKE LOOK
Dark woolen suit Light cotton
or Silk shirts and colorful ties.
- FOR MEN
Things to consider in choosing a dress shirt :
Sober contrasting with the suit
Blue, white, cream, gray, green, maroon, brown, black, navy, peach, light green etc.
Avoid wearing flashy colors or pink.
Color details will be provided in the shirt summary, read it before choosing the shirt.
Double reverse pleat with extended
waistband and suspender buttons
Plain or Pleated
Fully lined or half lined to the knee
The proper Length for a tie :
The tip of your tie to come right to the top of your belt buckle.
The Skinny Tie:
Can give you a cool Look, hip edge.
Good for a night out.
Bad for a first meeting with client.
The tie’s patterns should not conflict with any patterns in your shirt or suit.
When combining a patterned tie with a shirt and suit ensemble, ensure the pattern is not already present in the clothing.
HOW TO SELECT A TIE ?
Laced leather shoes are considered formal
Slip- ons are not formal. But they can be worn on Fridays.
Avoid cross stitch shoes on formal occasions
