Transcript of Dr. pepper

Dr. Pepper Est. 1885 Background: Dr. Pepper was first served in restaurants on December 1, 1885. It was invented by a pharmacist named Charles Alderton in an old corner drugstore in Waco, Texas. He combined 23 different secret flavors to create a new soda. To test his soda, he gave a sample to the owner of the drugstore: Wade Morrison. Morrison really liked it and started selling it at the soda fountain. Patrons at the corner store enjoyed the drink and often ordered it by the name of a 'Waco'. Alderton gave the recipe of the new soda to Morrison who entitled it 'Dr. Pepper'. From there Dr. Pepper Co. grew and prospered and extended into a big business. Flavors of Dr. Pepper include: Dr. Pepper Cherry, Dr. Pepper cherry-vanilla, Dr. Pepper berries and cream, and Diet Dr. Pepper cherry chocolate. Dr. Pepper has made other products too like jelly beans with Jelly Belly. Relevance: Dr. Pepper is relevant to me because it is my favorite soda. I have drunk Dr. Pepper since I was a little kid and I have always loved the totally different taste of it. My favorite flavor is cherry-vanilla. Activity: 1. Write 2 - 3 sentences about your favorite soda and why. 2. If you could invent a soda what would it be called? What would it taste like? What would the logo look like? Would it have a slogan?
