Transcript of Reaper Drone
The robot simulates taking a fighter jet that is manned and sending it out into the battlefield.
The Reaper Drone does this for us so that we aren't risking anybodies lives. The Reaper is controlled via satellite.
It has thermal cameras (cameras that view people by body heat).
The Reaper has a number of sensors that can map the ground
Advantages: Saving lives.
Disadvantage: only works well in daylight and clear weather. Where is the robot used? What is the work envelope? What jobs can it create? The robot is used by the U.S. air force. It flies operation and surveillance missions. The robot has no flexible joints. The job that it creates is for soldiers who control the Reaper Drone. Impact of the Reaper Drone It has a large impact for the U.S.military

-Could be controlled over 7000 miles away Potential Impact if The Reaper Drone was Powered by Nuclear Energy -Keeps reaper airborne longer
-Could carry more missiles and surveillance equipment
-Could dispense with the need for ground crews based in remote and dangerous areas. What is the future of the reaper drone? Is the robotic end effector multi-functional? What else can it do? No it does not have a multi-functional end effector because the reaper drone is a plane that can fire and doesn't have an end effector.
We expect the Reaper Drone tho be able to carry troops, have advanced weaponry,and have longer radio contact. Also the reaper drone might be able to drop supplies into battlefields.
