You may see people like Jamie Lynn Spears doing just fine on her own with a baby, bt keep in mind that celebrities have a lot of money to help cover costs, and a LOT of extra help.
On "Secret Life of the American Teenager", you see a girl named Amy Juergens get pregnant, have a baby, and continue her education all throughout her four years at high school, with her parents support.
You see Bristol Palin with her newborn baby on their new reality show BIO. With her parents supporting her.
80% of fathers don't mary the mother of their child
13 million children are born to mothers under the age of 20 worldwide
46% of highschool students report to having sex
6% of highschool students admit to having sex before the age of 13
Abotions are a safe, common, legal procedure that many girls choose. This is the safest and most practical way to ensure the safety of your health and your future. However it all depends on what you feel comfortable with.
What i noticed in the media, was that abortions were almost never an option chosen by the pregnant teen.
Conclusion
In conclusion, teenage pregancy is not something that should be taken lightly. And the most media is doing a poor job at showing what being a mother is really like.
THE END
