Roles Each Part
The role each part plays is important. The cells are important because they allow the organisms to meet their basic needs. Tissue is important because they help carry out a specific function. Organs help the body because they always perform a specific and helpful task that makes the body better. Organ system is important because it help maintain the function of a body. Organisms help produce oxygen in the body which helps a lot.
Jobs of the Organs
Hypothalamus- Coordinates the nervous system and activity of pituitary.
Pituitary gland- Important in controlling growth and development.
Thyroid- Secretes hormones.
Parathyroids- Secretes hormones that regulates calcium levels.
Adrenal glands- Produces a variety of hormones.
Pineal body- secretes a hormone like substance.
Reproductive gland- that produces the gametes and sex hormones of an organism.
Pancreas- Secretes digestive enzymes into the duodenum.
Homeostasis in the System
The endocrine system plays an important role in homeostasis because hormones regulate the activity of body cells.
Cells, Tissues, Organs, Organ System, Organisms
Some positives about the endocrine system like how it helps reestablish homeostasis, it is part of the body’s many systems, and how it can make a person’s body better.
The endocrine system can interact with the nervous system. They both help with the homeostasis.
