How It Started
One day in 1866 a little girl played near the banks of the Orange river, she found a strange looking pebble.
The British empire wanted POWER and mostly MONEY
Blood diamond mines
The Anglo-Zulu war was fought in 1879 between the British Empire and The South African Zulu tribe.
The Zulu War
It turned out to be a
DIAMOND

So they decided to invade the Zulu empire for their most recent find of
DIAMONDS
How many people lost their lives?
Was this the right thing to do?

Thousands of people died all just for money and power!

The war finally ended in
1896, which meant it went on for 17 YEARS!
