International Criminal Court International Law is a body of international norms and practices established by national governments to deter and to punish criminal acts of international consequences. The ICC is used to try crimes such as
Genocide
Crimes against humanity
War crimes
Aggression US opposes the ICC claiming it could be used as a tool for politically motivated prosecutions against Americans Many other countries feel that the ICC isn't granted enough strength and will be prevented from fulfilling it's role as a force for international justice
