My Role Model: Ellen DeGeneres
Transcript of My Role Model: Ellen DeGeneres
Who is Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen had many challenges in life that she had to over come and I feel like the biggest challenge was when she came out to the public and media that she was gay. Ellen got canceled in 1998 on ABC due to a religious group bring her down. She had to stand up for what she believed no matter how much disgrace she got from it. Even with everyone being against this she still has become very successful.
What does Ellen Value?
"I want to be clear and here are the values that I stand for. I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated, and helping those in need. To me those are traditional values. That's what I stand for."
What did Ellen Contribute in my life?
Ellen has taught me to:
-Be who I am even though people don't agree with it.
-To have to stand up for what I believe in.
-Bring the light out of things even though it seems very dull

When she saw Vance shine she wanted to become something too. From there her life started and now she is one of the amazing women in the world.
