Oaxacan Alebrijes What is the name of your Alebrije? The name of my Alebrije is Abracajeca. What did you learn about the Oaxan Indians from this project? I learned that the Abrijes were
generally animals that had unique
features and fancy, bright patterns on
their body. How does your papier mache animal relate to the art work of
the Oaxacan Indians? My papier mache shows the features of the art works of the Oaxacan Indians, a combination of a rabbit and a whale. I have also drawn in the bright and dark patterns (the zigzag lines, bright lines, thunder on the back). Shape Colour Line Colour
