Cell Membrane A cell membrane protects the inside of a cell. In this case, the cell membrane would be protecting the inside of an animal cell.

A cell membrane is like a wall because they basically have the same job. A wall protects the inside of a building. The Nucleus The nucleus controls the activities a cell perform, and also contains most of the DNA. However, the Nucleus cannot control the cell membrane.

The nucleus is like a teacher in my eyes because a teacher controls all the activities you do during the day at school. They also contain the stuff you need to carry out those activities in their classrooms. Ribosomes A ribosome's main function is the create protein for a cell using amino acid.

Ribosomes are like a cow because a cow gives off protein just like Ribosomes. Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum performs detoxification and is useful for carbohydrate metabolism and. lipid metabolism.

The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum is a box because when they're moving, you need to transport your furniture in boxes so it doesn't get exposed while performing it's main purpose. Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum transports proteins created by ribosomes.

The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is like a highway because it is used to transport cars to where they need to go, just like how the Rough Endoplasmic
Reticulum transports proteins. The Golgli Apparatus The Golgli Apparatus modifies fats and proteins created by Ribosomes that are on the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.

The Golgi Apparatus is like a tailor. A tailor will modify outfits so that they are perfect for you, just like how the Golgi Apparatus will modify fats and proteins. Lysosomes Lysosomes digest and recycle used cell parts and are used to protect the cell.

Lysosomes are like a recycling plant. They recycle used things and make something useful out of it, just like a recycling plant. Mitochondria Mitochondria breaks food down and converts it into energy for the cell to use.

Mitochondria is like a fireplace. A fireplace will burn the wood you throw into creating a powerful fire that will give off heat you could use to warm up. Nuclear Membrane The Nuclear Membrane protects the inside of the Nucleus.

The Nuclear Membrane is like a roof. A roof will give a house basic protection, just like a Nuclear Membrane will protect the Nucleus. Cytoskeleton The Cytoskeleton holds the vacuole in place and helps a cell maintain its shape.

The Cytoskeleton is like a car skeleton. A car skeleton will help the car maintain its shape. Chromosomes Chromosomes contain your DNA and are responsible for what you look like.

Chromosomes are like blog coding. Coding controls what your website will look like. Nucleolus The Nucleolus contains your chromosomes and is also the "brain" of a cell. It keeps the cell functioning how it should be.

A school's principal is like the Nucleolus. The principal keeps the school running how it should be. Cytoplasm The Cytoplasm holds all of a cell's internal organelles.

The Cytoplasm is like bolts. When creating a building structure, bolts will often be used to hold everything together properly.
