jimsonweed contains substances such as atrophine, hyoscyamine, and scopolamine which interferes with one of the chemical messengers in the brain and nerves.
JIMSONWEED
why not????
-it grows anywhere (including my back yard)
-it is not illegal
-as christians we are not to defile our bodies and doing jimsonweed can hurt you and can kill you. we should not take our lives in our own hands.
-jimsonweed is still a technically a drug even though it does not make you feel high and therefore it is still illegal.
how to avoid it????
always try to have good thoughts about yourself and do not give in to peer pressure. and not pressured into feeling that it will make you feel better because it can kill you easily.

NICOTINE
what???
-a drug that is used in cigarettes and can be inhaled in many different ways.
classification???
for what???
how to get addicted??? (which you shouldn't do)
NICOTINE
classiffication???
-it is both a stimulant and a depressant
-the stimulant is that it releases epinephrine (hormone) which stimulates the central nervous system and makes you feel pleasure or a "kick"
-the depressant part of it is that the hormone endorphin which makes pain. the stimulation then is replaced with with a drop in mood and
fatigue which leads the smoker to seek more nicotine. this cycle leads to chronic tobacco use and addiction.
-it is legal but there are restrictions
NICOTINE
for what????
- it ihas a lot of theraputic uses
-there is growing evidence that it may be useful to treat parkinson's disease and alzheimers( there ability to focus.
NICOTINE
alkaloid: any type of nitrogenous organic compounds that have pronounced physiological actions on humans.
- nicotine is an alkaloid found in the nightshade family of plants predominately in tobacco, and in lower quantities in tomato, potato, eggplant and green pepper.
NICOTINE
-it changes how your brain and body functions
-it can lead to heart attacks and strokes because it thickens or narrows the blood vessels
-it can clause blood clots, blocking flow to the heart.
NICOTINE
how to get addicted??? (which again you should not do)
-over time the brain adjusts to the stimulation (buzz) from nicotine and lowers your natural energy level or mood.
-you then might crave nicotine or a cigarette
- the more you smoke or inhale nicotine the more you need to feel good again
soon the body craves nicotine to feel "normal"
-without being with nicotine for even a few hours can cause withdrawl syptoms liek headaches, depression, anger, anxiety and problem sleeping.
NICOTINE
why not???
-it is a legal drug
-it is an easy and cheap drug to buy-you can buy it anywhere
-we are not to kill off or harm parts of our bodies even if that is not what you mean to do
how to avoid it???
we should not see other people doing it and think we have to do it to be cool.
HOW TO GET HELP????
