Qin Dynasty :
Qin was the first imperial dynasty in China founded by Qin Shi Huang.
Qin instituted a uniform written language, allowing for greater communication and implementation of policies.
During its reign over China, the Qin Dynasty achieved increased trade, improved agriculture, and military protection.
He standardized writing, weights, and measures throughout his kingdom.
Qin is also famous for construction of ambitious project now known as the Great Wall of China.
Qin dynasty did not last very long. But it it influenced future Chinese empires, particularly the Han, and the European name for China is thought to be derived from it.

proper women imitated their styles in manner and dress
most born into privilege that was since lost. prostitution as a means of income.
Cai Jinhua, Golden Flower: rose from prostitute to marry an ambassador and later mistress of powerful european general. used influence to stop pillage by europeans and saved (so it’s said) the life of the empress.
although sex was the end result, it might follow a lengthy and expensive courtship involving gifts of jewelry, banquets, parties, etc. in the prostitution house. The mingji would tease his lust by flirtatious words and body language as well as artistic skills.

is a four-stringed lute, one of the oldest Chinese musical instruments with over 2000 years of history.
The earliest Chinese written texts about the pipa dated back at least to the second century BC, the Qin .
The playing technique consists of the right hand fingers plucking the strings and the left hand fingers touching the strings in a variety of ways to create melodies, ornaments and special effects.
There are 60 different playing technique in pipa
Chinese Opra has a long history. Appearently, its older than Western Opra.
Bejjing Opra is the largest Chinese opera form.
Four Means of Artistic Presentation: singing, dialogue, dancing and martial art.
Main Roles in Beijing Opera Performance....
Sheng: It's a common name of male characters, middle-aged man with a beard who acts as the decency figure.
Dan: Name for female characters can be divided into Zhengdan, Huadan, Laodan, Wudan. Zhengdan is also called 'Qingyi', who mainly plays the part of the strong-minded middle-aged woman who behaves elegantly.
