Transcript of The West

The West Alaska Come take a scenic flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks, into Juneau, and end in Ketchikan for all of the amazing fun you can have here. After all, flying is our main means of transportation. In Alaska, you can also see the northern lights. It is a crazy collision of energetically charged particles that will leave you awestruck! It is one of the most magnificent things you will ever see. Just come on down to 61°13′05″N 149°53′33″W to come and see. Utah After you are done eating this states Jell-o, the official state snack, and relaxing at their Shakespearean festival, don't forget to come see the four corners. This wonderful spot is not just a great sight, but it is also a view into the four states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. This is the only place in America that allows you to see, and step in 4 states at a time! Wyoming Come on down and see Old Faithful spew in Yellowstone after seeing America's largest rodeo in Cheyenne! It's only once a year though so you better hurry. See ya there, partner! Yeeehah! Hawaii Come to the great islands of Hawaii. If you are looking for a vacation as far away as possible, this it it. Being 1,860 miles away from the nearest continent, no matter where you live, it is going to be far. There is so much to do. If you come, you have to see the volcanoe of Mauna Kea. After all, it is the highest point of Hawaii, reaching 4,205 meters. Don't worry though, it's extinct. California Visit the great state of California to see some of the most marvelous sights you've ever seen. Take a trip over the golden gate bridge by car, Double Decker bus, or even a party bus for all of the action. Then take a ferry to get to Alcatraz island and visit this notorious prison. If you're in the mood for the thrill of your life, come spend a day at Universal theme park in Hollywood, CA. Whether you are daring enough to go on the Texas Chain Saw massacre ride, or just want to spend the day at WaterWorld, you are sure to love it. If you come to the west, you will surely notice the frontier spirit! After all, the West was settled in the late 1800's, making everything out here in the west NEWER, BIGGER, and FRESHER!!!!
It is also an amazing region of opposites. The west ranges from rainforests, like the Temperate rainforest, mountains, like Mount Hood, Deserts, like the Mojave Desert and even big name stores and attractions, like Disneyland! This includes the Cascade-Sierra Mountains and the Sierra Nevada range. They run from British Colombia, Canada, all the way down to Mexico! You can spend the night in Yosemite Park and then hike the range during the day. If you are a seismologist, you can even study earthquakes here because it is over tectonic plates. If you are someone who loves vigorous challenges, you have to hike the Pacific Coast trail too. It runs through all of California and up into Oregon. They are amazing places that you CANNOT miss!
