The Journey and Uprising of... Adele On May 5, 1988, a Soon to be superstar was born in Tottenham, North London, England. Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known as “Adele”, had become the daughter of Mark Evans and Penny Adkins Adele had confirmed herself that a next album would Most likely be at least two years away, but it is sure that whenever it comes out, it will be as brilliant and hopefully successful as her previous ones. She deserve this. It wasn't easy... Adele had now become quite interested in the music industry. With her supporting mother's help, instead of going to an everyday highschool, Adele enrolled into "Brit school for performing arts and technology" in Croydon. At age nineteen she started her first album; named after her age. '19'

With the two songs "Hometown Glory" and "Chasing Pavement", Adele was lead down the road of fame... She needs to go down in history as a It had not been much time after this in which Adele was no longer just an ordinary daughter, but also had become what may be called a legend, and she is currently one of the best and most well-known singers on this world today. Adele's Childhood Adele's childhood wasn't the best. Her mother, Penny, had been a young parent, and was only 18 when she had Adele. Adele's parents were together for only a few years after she had been born, and her alcoholic and unhelpful father had then left the family. As a young child Adele had been known to already be enjoying the gift of music. She had given fake concerts for her friends and mother, mimicking and looking up to artists such as the contemporary artist, Gabriella and the all so popular group at the time, Spice Girls. A little Later, Adele and Her mother moved to south London. It was Here where Adele began to take interest in and went through the first steps of becoming a budding artist... During the time when Adele had lived in South London was the time when she began discovering artists with a more R & B background. Ones such as Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, and Destiny’s Child At age 15 Adele came across a kind of music she had never discovered. music that was nothing close to the girly and sassy ways of the 'spice girls'... She had come across the dusty records of Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald ...
A style of music that helped her see all of the talent and legends the industry had in store and opened her up to a whole different world...it was both an awakening and inspiration... Alumni of the school included Amy winehouse, Jessie J., and Leona Lewis. This school had been known for creating stars... Quick Fact: At the time, Adele had actually had the interest in going into A & R to launch other people's careers, not become the star herself... While attending the school there, for a class project, Adele created a three-track demo. It wasn't too much longer however until the tracks were put on MySpace and executives of XL Recordings heard the tracks and in November of 2006, gave Adele a record deal. This had only been four months after Adele had graduated. She had begun the start of her commercial success... It wasn't until October 18, 2008 when Adele had Won America's hearts. This had been due to Making an appearance that night on "Saturday Night Live" During the taping of the show her Album had been ranked #40 on iTunes...but less than 24 hours later, it had made it to #1...By July 2009, the album had sold 2.2 million copies worldwide. With her album "19" she was nominated for four Grammy's and took two home Adele released her second studio album, 21, on January 24, 2011 in the UK and February 22 in the US. "21" became the best-selling album of the year... "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You", both songs that were featured on the album, were in the top 5 of the UK singles chart, making Adele the first living artist to have TWO top-five hits in BOTH the Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously. This hadn't happened since the Beatles in 1964. Adele again had marked a place in music history. Adele became the first artist to ever sell three million albums in the UK in ONE calender year..

By December 2011, her album "21" had sold over 3.4 million copies in the UK, and and became the best selling album of the year. On December 9 of 2011,
Billboard named Adele artist of the year, And Here Come The Awards... Because of her tremendous success, she received a great amount of both achievements AND awards... After undergoing throat surgery, Adele returned back on the night of the 2012 Grammy Awards. Here she was nominated for SIX categories, and won all SIX of them. The Grammy Awards Latest Happenings... In October 2012, Adele confirmed that she had been writing and recording the theme song for the new James Bond Film, "Skyfall" This song is actually a personal favorite...
