Rejoicing Always: The Christian Disposition Philippians 4:4 Grasping Joy What is joy? It exists in seasons of need It exists in suffering It is based on future hope Spiritual joy is a resolute gladness in the person of Jesus Christ Joy is a byproduct True joy is the result of being satisfied in Christ True joy is a fruit of the Spirit Jesus as the source of joy 1 Peter 1:8-9

“8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” John 15:10-11

“10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” Rejoicing Always Commanded to Feel? - Does this mean there is no sorrow? - How is it possible to rejoice always? Rejoicing and Sorrow can happen at the same time 2 Corinthians 6:4-10 - Are you joyful? - Are you rejoicing?
