But it depends on the area and the type of family modern day mexican family women are independent and have a mind of their own and not under the surveillance of men which is similar to american families

Having an education can affect a mexican culture, it can take up their time for providing for their family but can pay off in the long run

History
Many old civilization such as Maya preceded to conquer the Aztec empire that reign from 1519 to 1521 by the Spanish under Hernando Cortés
Spain ruled Mexico for the next 300 years until Sept. 16, 1810 which is known as their Mexico independence day
when the Mexicans first revolted they won independence in 1821
From 1821 to 1877 there were 3 types of leaders such as emperors, dictators, and presidents
Mexico lost the area of which is now known as Texas in 1836
They then lost the war to U.S. that was from 1846 to 1848 they lost the much land which is now american land such as Nevada, California and more
Under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
The subsequent civil war was interrupted by the French invasion of Mexico 1861
Maximilian was crowned emperor in 1864 He was then overthrown and executed by forces under Juárez

Instead of being celebrated on the 25th of December it start a day early on the 24th of December 24, in the events where families gather to do some similar American Christmas day traditions
Mexicans then open up gifts at sharp midnight
Cinco de Mayo is celebrated on the 5th day of May
It is the celebration in which mexican peons defeated the French army
El Día de los Muertos is the mexican Halloween it's name in English is "The day of the dead"

The swine flu outbreak of 2009 was consider a pandemic. Mexico was aided by America when they were called upon and the it became a threat our national security. Consulate was sent by America to aid in the harsh times. Former president Bush and the american government put together a $330 million organization that will maintain the influenza. Family is a great part of mexican culture. The relationship between the youth and elderly is a fond relationship. Mexican families play different roles due to each of their gender. Most mexicans natives families are similar to today some families in America. Family life is the stronghold of the mexican vase culture.
The way of dressing various in the area a person lives in Mexico and the role a person play in the community. The way of dressing in Mexico can be very traditional and modern. Some ways of dressing is similar to the today way of dressing around the world and in America. The ways of dressing is changing within time and the urbanization Mexico.
There are many issues in Mexico. There both political and drug related issues as so in the rest of the world. Mexico is doing their best to put a end to their drug related issues. They are getting help from America and other countries.
