Poetry or Smo-etry Identify the poetic
devices within these songs, in your groups. Do you have a preference with love songs/poems?
Do you prefer straight forward poems or ones with more ambiguity? Assignment due on Monday!!!!! Select five poetic/literary devices used by poets, then find examples of those devices in real poems. What is your reaction
to the song? What is the mood or
feeling evoked by the song? My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;

I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
