Was he successful at his first attempt?
Zuckerberg had many setbacks, in his attempt to become successful. This included the scandals that accompanied the Facebook site. Six days after the launch, senior students Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narendra accused Mark Zuckerberg in stealing their idea. They claimed that in 2003 they hired Zuckerberg to make a social network called 'Harvardconnection.com', that allowed students to communicate and create profiles online. Therefore to become such an accomplished individual Mark inevitably made enemies.
Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is currently 29 years old, he was born on the 14th of May 1984, in White Plains , New York. Today he is widely recognized for being a talented internet entrepreneur and the co-founder of the social networking website 'Facebook'. Facebook's earlier inspiration may have come from Phillips Exeter Academy, the prep school in which Zuckerberg graduated from in 2002. It published its own student directory, “The Photo Address Book,” which students referred to as “The Facebook.” Such photo directories were an important part of the students social experience at many private schools. With them, students were able to list attributes such as their class years, their friends, and their telephone numbers.
This was just the beginning of Marks successful career.
Influence to society?
Marks interest in computers was developed at an early stage of his childhood. At the young age of 12, Mark created a messenger program called 'Zucknet'. It allowed his house and his fathers dental office to transfer messages to each other. He also used his programming skills to create other communication tools and gaming sites.

The quote above definitely defines this incredible entrepreneur. The establishment of Facebook has allowed individuals across the globe to communicate and share their lives with each other in many different ways.
But despite the positive impacts of Marks creation, many members have used Facebook as a tool to harass others, or Cyber Bully. Facebook has been a major influence to our society and has revolutionized the way we connects and live our lives.

On Marks first attempt in making history he wasn't successful. It occurred when he interfered with Harvard's online server and created a program that allowed students to rate and compare their female peers. This creation wasn't tolerated by authorities and Mark was punished for designing such an inappropriate program. Instead of apologizing to the public Mark simply saw his creation as a master piece and a great accomplishment .

Even before Facebook was established Mark had minimal work experience, and virtually started his company from nothing.
1. Have a dream- Marks journey to success didn't happen over night, he had a desire, which was the starting point towards achieving his goal.
2.Think Big- Mark envisioned a world wide project that would change the way our society communicates and stays in touch.
3. Start small- He began his billion dollar project in his dormitory.
4. Self belief- You must believe that you can make it and you have what it takes.
5. The will to sacrifice- Even if it meant many sleepless nights, Mark had that determination.
6. Follow your passion-Mark was a programming enthusiast from childhood at stuck to that passion all the way to now.
7. Be diligent- Before you taste the sweetness of success you must first break a sweat.

Character Strengths that Mark Displays?
Courage- One of the main characteristics possessed by successful entrepreneurs is this trait, without this vital strength there is no risk taking.
Leadership- Being the current CEO of Facebook obviously means that Mark has excellent leadership attributes and is able to manage a large group of people.
Perseverance- Mark was able to for fill many of his set missions because he was extremely persistent and determined to achieve his goals.
Zest- Is enthusiastic about the tasks ahead, and has a personality that allows him to stay positive and optimistic.
Wisdom/Knowledge and Creativity- Mark was able to think of a concept that was unique and out of the box, and use his intelligence to bring such an idea to life. Mark also had a love of learning and really treasured his education.
