Matthew 24- the Prophecies of Jesus There will be false Christs There have been many who have claimed to be Jesus. Jim Jones

May 13, 1931 – November 18, 1978
Claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus, Jonestown was a short-lived settlement made in northwestern Guyana by the Peoples Temple, a cult from California. Jonestown became lastingly and internationally notorious in 1978 when over 900 people died in a mass murder-suicide orchestrated by their leader, Jim Jones. To the extent the actions in Jonestown were viewed as a mass suicide, it is one of the largest such mass suicides in history, perhaps the largest in over 1,900 years and the largest mass suicide of United States

Marshall Applewhite

Applewhite posted a famous Usenet message declaiming, "I, Jesus—Son of God—acknowledge on this date of September 25/26, 1995: …".[2] This was two years before he and his Heaven's Gate cult committed suicide to rendezvous with a spaceship hiding behind the comet Hale-Bopp. Then there's this guy (some of you have heard of him). He thinks he's Jesus. Just watch:

There will a lot of wars, earthquakes, and famines (Do I need to mention this?) I mean, how many earthquakes have we had this year alone?
Haiti, Chile, Argentina, Taiwan, and China. And it's only May! War? USA is fighting two wars right now. And there are over 100 wars happening in the world. Most people are at war! Famine? Not enough food.
Many countries are suffering from famine as there are water and food shortages.
What about prophecies about signs in the heavens? Some say it's impossible for the sun to turn black right? Take a look at this: The Dark Day 5.The Dark Day took place 208 years ago this year. If Jesus came back in the next 50 years, and if the earth would then be about 6050 years old, this would be mean that the Dark Day would have taken place in the last 5% of earth’s history. For those who don’t like a short earth history, and prefer, let’s say, 10,000 years or longer, then the sign of the Dark Day would have taken place in the last 2% or less of earth’s history!! It seems like it happened so long ago because we are used to instant everything today. But it is truly recent history Revelation 6:12-13 "... and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as blood. The stars of the sky fell to the earth, like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when it is shaken by a great wind." New England's Dark Day refers to an event that occurred on 19 May 1780, when an unusual darkening of the day sky was observed over the New England states and parts of Canada. The darkness was so complete that candles were required from noon on. It did not disperse until the middle of the next night.

There has also been other phenomena like the stars falling and the moon turning to blood. What can all of this mean? Jesus would come like a thief in the night. What does this mean? Some take it to mean that it will be when no one expects it. Others chose to believe in the rapture. Here's some info on that and what the Bible says about it. Here we go! Generally the belief says that God's people will be "raptured" or taken away so they
don't have to face the time of Great Tribulation. To be raptured to them means to just disappear. Well, Jesus will come but it will be invisible, and you'll know He came because you'll be hanging out with someone and they'll disappear right in front of you. Imagine how that would be!
So basically this teaching is just a poor interpreation of what the Bible says. Maybe because people want a second chance (because of what supposedly would happen on the earth after the other people disappear).
I know, it's silly, but some people just don't want to face the fact that they only have one chance to choose, and that the choice is a final one.
So watch out for false teachings, everything you believe should be based on the Bible!!! My Last Advice:
Jesus said not to be tricked.
The end is obviously near, so get to know God
and the Bible so you know truth from lies.
Jesus loves you!
What do we know about when Jesus does come?
Every eye will see Him
Loud Trumpet will sound
Great Earthquake
People will rise from the dead
Unrighteous people will be destroyed
Righetous people get new bodies
Can you imagine not
having enough food to eat?
Or water to drink? Beliefs of the Rapture:
some people are taken in the Second coming
everyone else has 7 years to decide if they want to follow Jesus
during the 7 years the anti-Christ comes
at the end of the 7 years Jesus comes back with those who went to heaven before them
evil is destroyed after Jesus comes back a third time and everyone lives on the earth after that What the Bible says in 1Thess 4, Revelation 6, 20, Matthew 24
