What is a biome? A large geographic area on the Earth's surface that is defined by the types of animals and plants living there. Piney Woods These ecoregions
are grouped
into three larger
ecosystems known as
BIOMES Trans Pecos High Plains Rolling Plains 1 2 3 Temperate
Forest Desert Grassland Located in East Texas High precipitation
Large amount of vegetation Located in South Texas, through West Texas
Very dry and hot climate
Low vegetation Located in mostly Northern Texas
Consists of mainly prairies and plains
Used for pastureland
Very windy
