Transcript of Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo Da Vinci was born to Ser Peiro and Caterina on April 15, 1452. Caterina and Peiro were not married, and Caterina was a peasant. So that made Leonardo an illegitimate son. Ser Peiro did not know at first that Leonardo was born, but once he did find out, he moved away from Caterina and married someone else. The other woman he married conceived a son who became Ser Peiro's legitimate son. Caterina took care of Leonardo for 5 years until she found a man who she wanted to marry. Then Ser Peiro took Leonardo to live with Peiros parents. Leonardo would grow up and develop a love for nature and art. Personal Life Leonardo Da Vinci has a lot of paintings, but a lot of them have gone missing or are destroyed. His most famous known painting is the "Mona Lisa" which was shown earlier. Leonardo mad the scene at the last supper one Judas was going to betray Jesus. Art Human Body Studies Leonardo Da Vinci dug up graves to get bodies so he could study and learn about the human body. He also studied the human bodies to make better art. He learned about the dimensions of the body which is known as Canon of Proportions or Proportions of man. Inventions Leonardo had many inventions. That is something that he is often not known for. He had plans for making a helicopter (sadly which would have not worked though). He had working plans for a bike. He even had plans for a tank, the designs would have worked except for the fact that when people from the british army tried to build it, they noticed that when they turned the tanks wheels, the wheels would turn towards each other. Leonardo was a brilliant man who many people want to be like when they grow up. Leonardo Da Vinci was definitely. Thank you for watching.
