The Hitler Youth movement physical training, NAZI ideology, especially nationalism and racial concepts, and absolute obedience to Hitler and the NAZI Party. Indoctrinating children in National Socialist was a key goal of the NAZI Party. The NAZI goal for youth ! In the same year that the Nazis took power the Nazis organized the german youths in two groups one with boys and the other girls . The first young group was started in 1926 by kurt gruber , the first suggested name for hitlers youth was (Hitler jugend) by Rudolf hess . history of the youth party After roehm was murdered the youth group came under the leader ship of Baldur von Schirach,then hitler let him create a independent youth group . Know that the youth group was under a new leader he made some big changes, 1936 boys all had to be between 15 and 18 . Hitlers youth ( HJ)! IN between ages 10 and 14 years of age Schirach set up the JUOGVOLK ,here the boys had to learn semaphore,arms drills,and take part in a two-day cross-country hikes . Once girls reach the age of 14 the entered the Bund Deutscher Madel, this group the girls did one year of domestic services. During world was 2 the HJ were often used in air defece work. In 1940 baldur von schirach was replaced by Artur Axmann. IN the begining of the hitlers yough in 1923 it had just over one thousand members , by the end of of 1933 it had about 2 million 3 hunderd members . The goals of the cultural work carried out by the Hitler Youth remain conditioned by political needs: the political education of the German . Hitler Youth members were issued membership books. The first page of the membership book had the diamond shaped logo of the Hitler Youth and the membership number. The books included identity photographs and basic information such as the youth's birthdate and when he or she joined the HJ organization. There was also a page for recording the payment of dues. Here a small stmp was pasted in that indicated that the dues had been paid. The text of the membership card was written in the old-style German script.
