Krokodil and Herpes
Transcript of Krokodil and Herpes
street known as the "flesh eating drug" but its scientific name is Desomorphine.
Origin of Source
Opioids come primarily from Afghanistan then they go through Kazakhstan and into Russia but when Russia cracked down on the heroin problem opioids became more expensive and harder to find so poor border towns turned to a cheaper synthetic form of heroin.
It can be found in the form of pills, usually white, then crushed up and melted into a liquid and then injected, there isn't a smell that is generally associated with it but it is made with gasoline and eye drops.
Whether its the pharmaceutical drug or a homemade version of it depends on the toxicity but both if taken too much over time can cause death and since the average life span of a Krokodil user is 2-3 years it is fairly toxic.
Include soft tissue damage, short life expectancy, Hallucinations, sleep deprivation, irrational behavior, memory loss.
The compound breaks down in the body so quickly that the drug rarely shows up on test but the effects are readily apparent.
You can treat the symptoms but
there is not a known cure for long term users, usually when people are brought to hospitals it is sometimes too late or they have severe permanent damage.
The lasting effects of krokodil are muscle and tissue damage, brain damage, speech impediments, damaged veins and if continuously used death.
-It is about 8 to 10 times stronger than regular morphine and it was used mostly used in Switzerland.
-But then in Russia in 2010 illegal production of this drug soared because all the ingredients can be easily bought in 24-hour Pharmacies
-Recently cases have started to show up in U.S.
-Everyone, if they are a long term user they will eventually die from overuse of this drug.
Products its found in
Krokodil isn't found in any products but to make it, codeine pills, eye drops, gasoline, iodine, heroine and red phosphorus are used.
-Krokodil is most commonly found in poorer regions with histories of drug use and they turn to Krokodil because it is cheaper and relatively easy to make.

Effect on Organs
Krododil demolishes each organ because it causes blood vessels to burst and eats away tissue
That is why you will die within a 3 year span
Herpes can be transmitted only thru sexual acts. The herpes virus enters the body through the skin(especially the mouth and genitals) and mucous membranes and travels along the nerve endings to the base of the spine, where it remains by feeding off nutrients produced by the body cells
Symptoms and Effects
The most common symptoms of herpes are small blisters that break open and cause painful sores. These may be on or around your mouth or genitals (penis or vagina) or on your buttocks, thighs, or rectal area and also deformation of the sex organ
Origin of Std
Herpes was around since the ancient greek times but it wasn't till 1893 that Emile Vidal(was a French dermatologist) recognized it as a STD.
Tighter cops patrol for search of drugs, governments should focus on the drugs and less on wars, more education on drugs. Make more job opportunities in Russia so that people stop using krokodil because they use this drug because they have nothing to live for.
Positive Message for Krokodil
Have safe sex, and know your partner as well and her/his previous relationships, because 1 in every 4 teenagers have an STD, so put on a condom and be safe.
Positive Message for Herpes
