How did this invention help Thomas Edison ? HOW DID THIS WORK Why is this invention important Thomas Edison pictures who invented the phonograph? Thomas Alva Edison February 11Th 1847 born in Milan Ohio in a middle class family - later on died on October 18Th 1913. He an American Inventor and a business men.He was a hard working men and invented many devices that influenced life around the world such as the motion picture camera, the light bulb, and the phonograph. This invention is important because it has led us to audio devises we have to day such a music devises EX. iPod,mp3 players. This helped Thomas because he got the audio credits without this invention we could not have music devises The machine had two needles: one for recording and one for playback. When you spoke into the mouthpiece, the sound vibrations of your voice would be indented onto the cylinder by the recording needle. This cylinder phonograph was the first machine that could record and reproduce sound created a sensation and brought Edison international fame. THE FIRST THING THAT WAS PLAYED ON THE PHONOGRAPH WAS "Mary had a little lamb." The phonograph revolutionized today very much and has changed the music and recording industries because this is the first thing that was recorded. This has influenced life today because this paved the way for recording studio and music and also paved the way for CD's and DVD The phonograph was invented in 1877 by a man named Thomas Edison Thomas Edison There were many reasons why the phonograph was invented to get sound through an invention that could record sound and play it back. of course this paved the way for CD's and DVD even music.
