The baby's face is amost fully formed.
The baby is starting to gain weight.
The baby can hear it's mother breathing,
digesting and noises from the outside world.
Baby at 28 Weeks
The baby is in the proper position for birth.
The baby is starting to figure out how to blink, cough, suck, hiccup, and breathe on it's own.
The baby has now started to dream while sleeping.

At 28 weeks, the baby is about the size of an eggplant.
Baby at 32 Weeks
The baby is squirming around because of lack of space and drive to exercise.
The baby's digestive system is ready to go.
The baby is accumilating more fat.
The skin color is changing to match it's nationality.
The baby is starting to sleep getting ready to be introduced to the world.
The baby is the size of a squash.
Baby at 36 Weeks
Bones are not fused together yet, making it easier to maneuver through the birth canal.
Growth is starting to slow down, preparing itself for birth.
All the baby's systems are mature and ready for the outside life.
The immune system is mature enough to protect the baby from harmful infections outside the womb.
At 36 weeks, the baby is the size of a honeydew.
The baby cries and can now eats from it's mouth.
Baby realizes it has room to spread out.
The baby recognizes the sound of it's parents.
Baby is the size of a jackfruit.
In the first 21 days of pregnancy the baby's heart begins to beat!

Drug and alcohol abuse
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Suicidal thoughts and behavior
Utah law recommends that a mother should not abort their child after the gestational age of 24 weeks for heath reasons.
Immediate risks of abortion
Damage to the organs
Scarring of the pervic organs
First trimester 4-13 weeks: uses a vacuum.
Second trimester 13-24 weeks: uses forceps (takes baby out in pieces) and a vacuum.
Late term 24 and up: Takes two to three days. Injection are used to cause fetal death. Then the baby is taken out with forceps and vacuum.
