Examining Alternative Policies
There is no easy fix to depression , but there are simple changes one can make everyday to lessen these feelings
Taking part in physical activity
When one is depressed, exercise often seems like the last thing one wants to do, but it can make a huge difference. Exercise releases feel good brain chemicals known as endorphins. It reduces immune system chemicals that can worsen depression. Exercise also increases body temperature, which has its' calming effects. Regular physical activity encourages the brain to rewire itself in positive ways.
30 to 60 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week can lift moods, reduce stress and boost self esteem
