Maroon 5 Created by: Abbey Sider Introduction I chose to do my music presentation on the band Maroon 5.
I wanted to do this band as my project because I really enjoy their songs and music.
I also feel that the lead singer, Adam Levine, is a very interesting artist and is smart in his the choices as an artist. I think that he really knows what he's doing unlike other people in the music business.
Lastly because I respect Adam and Jesse for sticking together in their relationship as friends and artists. It all started with Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick forming a band named Kara's Flowers in 1994. Then in 1997, they signed to Reprise Records and released their first album, The Forth World. There was a very small response to The Forth World and because of this, they left their Record Label and went off to college. In 2001, after a few boring years of college, they got back together and with the addition of James Valentine Maroon 5 was born. In 2002, Maroon 5 signed with Octone Records and released their first debut album "Songs About Jane." Songs About Jane's lead single "Harder To Breathe" hit the top of the charts at #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The other two singles from the album, "This Love" and "She Will be Loved" were International hits in 2004. In conclusion, through this project, I was able to expand my knowledge about Maroon 5 and their background. I really didn't realize how long they've been around for and didn't know half the long that I've known for so long and love so much were theirs. I was also able to learn about them as solo artists and now can respect them so much more through the choices they make. I hope everyone enjoyed this and took something positive away from it.
Thank you for watching.
