some plants have a tubelike structure. these structures transport water and nutrients. plants with tubelike structures are called vascular plants and plants without tubelike structures are called nonvascular plants.
Some ways scientist classify animals are if they are vertebrates or invertebrates. What that just means is if they have a backbone or not.
scientist classify plants by how they transport nutrients and how they reproduce.

iF AN ANIMAL IS AN VERTEBRATE IT HAS A BACKBONE.there are five groups of vertebrates, mammals,birds,amphibian,fish, and reptiles.
invertebrates are animals without backbones. some examples of invertebrates are jelly fish, dragonflies, and mollusk. the largest group of invertebrates are arthropods.

plants have different ways of reproducing.plants with flowers or cones produce seeds.other plants produce spores.
all organisms in the same group have some common characteristics.the smallest two groups are genus and species.a genus is a group of closely related things.a species is a group of similar organisms that can mate and produce offspring that can also produce offspring.
