you are a bit concerned..... BUT HAVE NO FEAR- MATH NERD IS HERE!!!! CHAPTER 8
LESSON 3
....
otherwise known as 4.3 First....
Let's review some key concepts.... Did You Know???? That any number to the power of zero .... is one???? Therefore... we know that both 7 to the power of zero and 7,000,000 to the power of zero have an answer of 1 Did You Know???? That any number to a negative power is simply to the reciprocal of the power as a positive???? In Other Words... 7 ^-3 is the recirprocal of 7^3 So then.... You simply flip the equations so it reads as....

1
___
7^3 Then Just Solve For All Possible Exponents AND YOUR ANSWER IS.... 1
__
343 Moving on.... Kinda.... The answer to our problems.... REVOLT!!!! Just Joking so.... What are these equations
equivalent to???? 7^0 1 0^3 0 or undefined 8^2 64 a^m * a^n = a^m+n

PRODUCT OF POWERS
PROPERTY (a^m)^n = a^mn

POWER OF A POWER
PROPERTY (ab)^m = a^m * b^m = a^mb^m

POWER OF A PRODUCT
PROPERTY a^m
____a^m-n a=0
a^n

QUOTIENT OF A POWERS
PROPERTY Now, not to be repetitive-
Let's review a few quick things that most of you should know...
a^m * a^n = a^m+n (a^m)^n=a^mn (ab)^m=a^mb^m So...Not to repetitive or anything-
but Let's review some stuff that most of you should know (a)^m
(b) a^m
b^m, B=0 Power of a quotient
Property BUBBLES!!!! sad face Are these numbers confusing you???? why don't you work it out with a partner.... With your groups, work on these sample problems... But really quickly before that, who knows what scientific notation is???? Number Standard Form Scienftific Notation
