What is its habitat?
Native: Philippines. It is usually found in the jungle but some can be found in a mountainous areas of the Philippians.

Why is it threatened?

* The plant baits in the rats with the guarantee of sweet nectar. The point when the rat goes into the plant to drink the sap , it slips on the pitcher's waxy inner part, and gets stuck in the gooey sap. When it is trapped, the plant uses a spit like acid, to break down the substance.

It eats rats. It is a carnivorous. It is found in the jungle.
It is the largest carnivorous plant ever discovered

People are creating an area that protects the Nepenthes Attenboroughii, that is the main thing that is being done so far.

Nepenthes attenboroughii
is becoming threatened due to poaching. This is when people kill or destroy plants illegally, whether it is for eating, selling or making medicine. In Taiwan and Japan, the endangered plant is sold for money. It is also threatened because the plant cannot reproduce itself.

What can we do to help?
We can buy seeds and plant them. We can also try and stop the poachers and go to the natural habitat and use our natural resources to help the plant grow.
