The End
From 1972-2014 videogames had made a great change.
My Genius Hour project is about the evolution of gaming.
The first video game console that game out was the "Magnavox Odyssey", which begun development in 1968, by Ralph Baer, and was released in May 1972. It sold over 330,000 units.

The second video game console was the "Fairchild Channel F" which was released in November 1976, made by Jerry Lawson. It sold 250,000 units.
The Third Console
The third video game console was the "Atari 2600", made by Howard Warshaw. It was released on September, 11, 1977, selling over 30 million copies.

Fast Forwarding through 8 years of more Atari's, Magnavox, and fairchild consoles, we come to the first "Nintendo" console ------->
It sold 61.91 million units worldwide
PlayStation
The Playstation 1 was released on December 3, 1994, and sold more copies than the NES and the Atari 2600 added together (which both add up to 91.91 million units). The Playstation sold over 100 million units.
DreamCast
The Dream Cast was released on September 9, 1999, made by Sega, and sold about 11 million copies. The Dream Cast was one of the least popular consoles.
Fast forwarding from 2000-2001. In that time the Playstation 2 was released.
PlayStation 3
Playstation 3 was released November 17th 2006, about a year after Xbox 360. It sold about 80 million copies almost the same amount as Xbox.
Wii
November 19th, 2006, the "Wii" was released. Although it didnt have the best graphics or controllers, it was great cause it added body movement into the games you played.
