with the newspaper Praying Lectio Breathe. Now HEAR and READ
these words one more time, Write down one or two words or sentences that speak to you the most; words that encourage, challenge or stir you.
Breathe deep.

Rest in Gods presence. Look at what youʼ've written down.
Repeat them gently to yourself. Now HEAR these words
Breathe deep.

Rest in Gods presence. Christ Has No Body Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
Teresa of Avila (1515–1582) Now slowly read a portion of the news story. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart even wider and allow these words or sentences to unfold within you, making space for the images, memories, and feelings that stir in response. Now speak to God about your response, is there some awareness or action you are being called to out of this time of prayer. Notice how your heart wants to respond - You may need to ask, confess, thank or even argue with him. He is big enough for whatever conversation you need to have. Bring your conversation to a close. Trust your thoughts and prayers to God.
Let your mind and heart rest, and just be in your Fatherʼs presence for a moment. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe deep.

Take anything that is distracting your mind, and picture it before you.
Then picture yourself handing those things to God.
You can trust him with that stuff. Now READ these words.
Teresa of Avila (1515–1582) Now select a news story to be your
