Transcript of Go Green

One day, Miss Fox goes to the school on her bicycle, her students are surprised and ask whether her car is broken. No, she says, she is "going green." The students are very interested and make jokes. Going green means no taking shower to save water, and no doing homework to save papers. Then the kids learn how to save energy by stop running water when brushing the teeth, and turn off the light when leaving. This book brings the children concept of "going green" with fun activities.
That is a boy on a farm and a kid with chickenpox, a soldier and a husband, a gardener, and most of all an artist. He takes
readers to a very fantastic garden that he creates. That is the place where memories are reflected in beautiful shapes of trees. It's a stunning picture book, winning Caldecott Honor 2013.

How many kinds of green are there?
Green by Laura Vaccaro Seeger with die cut pages creates vivid pictures, appealing to children.
Pinch is a pack rat. He does not want to put away his stuff cluttering his house, but when he finally is persuaded to sell them at a neighborhood tag sale, he realizes how useful recycling is. The book also brings children tips on "reduce, reuse, and recycle."
Is it time to stop and find a new way with your wastes? OK Go. It is a good book by Carin Berger about how to reduce, reuse and recycle. The pictures are really cool. They are made from recycled papers. After reading the book, my kids are very excited to take some newspapers from recycle bin and cut it up to make some pictures. Moreover, the kids learn very beautiful rhymes from the book like “Save the planet, Janet. Plant a tree, Marie. Ride a bike, Mike. And Use the bus, Gus." Check it out for your students.
