Transcript of Suspense/Thriller

THRILLER / SUSPENSE What a Film Genre is:

Film Genres are differemt forms or types, categories, classifications or groups of films that have similar, familiar or instantly-recognizable patterns, that include one or more of the following: settings, content and subject matter, themes, mood, period, plot, central narrative events, styles, structures, situations, stock characters (or characterizations), and stars. Many films are considered hybrids - they straddle several film genres. Examples of a Thriller or Suspense

Taken, The Dark Night, Borne Trilogy, Jurassic Park, 12 Rounds. Earliest example
"James Bond" Most Famous/"Box Office" succesful

"Taken" is the best example of this genre in my opinion. The genre is to leave the viewer sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for something exciting to happen

The first thing would be to study story line of the movie. Most movies have a very important storyline that leads to main sequences in a movie. On things for sure is that they are in a lead for a surprise. They would love the heartpumping feeling of action and terror. The genre is only for people that can take a surprise and live. We chose this genre because of the spine tingling when you're caught off guard.Surprises can be very entertaining because it wakes up the viewer. The way it makes you sit on the edge of your seat waiting for whats going to happen. The reactions of watcing this kind of movie is why we chose this genre. We thought our movie was very eyepopping. The genre was very interactive and mind boggleing. When the music starts getting dramatic both of us just stared at the screen wondering whats going to happen next.I would rate this genre a 9/10. I would totally watch a movie from this genre again.
