39 Clues Series Books we read In the books we read, the books are about kids who are in tough situations that they have to find a way out of them. The books are told from the kids point of view. Gordan Korman was born on October 23rd 1963 in Montreal, Canada. He lived there until he was 7 years old Now, in 2012 he has published over 75 books His family then moved to Thornhill, Ontario where he was raised In 1975, at 12 years old, he wrote his 1st book "This is not happening at MacDonald Hall" for a school assignment. He later, took that idea and used it to write another book "Sixth Grade Nickname Game." He writes his books for children and young adults He still lives in Long Island, New York with his wife and 3 kids. In 1979, when he was 16, he wrote his 2nd book "Go Jump in the Pool" In 2001, he wrote his 1st book in the Island trilogy:Shipwreck In 2011, his 3 books in the"Titanic" series were published In 2003, he published the 1st book in the "Dive" series In 2005, the series "On the Run" was published He went to college at New York University where he studied film and film writing. He graduated in 1985 Biographical Sketch Gordon Korman was born in Montreal, Canada in 1962. His first book was published when he was fourteen, and written he was only twelve. He accidentally wrote his first book (This Can't be Happening at MacDonald Hall) during free time in his language arts class. He then sent it to scholastic where it was published, this event was what really sparked his interest in writing.
He moved to the United States and went to New York University and received his Bachelors degree in film and film writing.
To this day Gordon Korman has written over 75 books. He currently lives in Long Island with his wife and three kids, where he still is still writing books. Timeline While in New York, he met his future wife, after college they got married and had 3 kids. Books Lilly Read Books Isabella Read AWARDS
