Broken-Hearted Girl Analysis

Metaphors
Don't wanna take a breath without you, babe
I don't want to play that part

Imagery
The title of this song is an example of imagery itself because you can visualize a girl that has been crying or has been through some type of pain.
My Favorite Lines
Lines:
And, yes, there are times when I hate you, but I don't complain
'Cause I've been afraid that you would walk away
Oh, but now I don't hate you; I'm happy to say
That I will be there at the end of the day

These lines stick out to me because it shows that no matter how she was treated she stayed humble. Also I am able to relate to being treated without respect , but sticking aound hoping that person would change and keeping them in a special place in my heart. I first heard this song when i was in the 2nd grade ad have been listening ever since.
You say you got the most respect for me
But sometimes I feel your not deserving of me
And still you're in my heart
But you're the only one
Beyonce' is not literally playing a role in a play, but is instead in his life. As I analyze this line she clearly states that she doesn't want to be the person he can always run back to.
