Transcript of The Human Body System

By: Sarah Vanderhoven The Human Body Systems The Skeletal System The Muscular System The Digestive System The Circulatory System The Respiratory System Main Functions:
Receives information from outside of the body
Responds to the information
Maintains the function of the body

Specialized Cells:
Neurons

Three Types Of Neurons:
Sensory Neurons
Motor Neurons
Inteneurons

Different Lobes Of The Brain:
Frontal Lobe
Temporal Lobe
Pariental Lobe
Occipital Lobe

There is both the Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems that make up the Nervous System. The Nervous System Five Major Functions:
Shape/support
Enables you to move
Protects internal organs
Produces blood cells
Stores material

Important Things:
Cartilage
Marrow
Ligament Bibliography The Skeletal System

Smooth
Cardiac
Skeletal

Involuntary= Works without you knowing or deciding.
Voluntary= Choose when to use these.

Skeletal muscles work in pairs. 2 3 1 Smooth Muscles Three Functions:
break down food
molecules get absorbed
waste is eliminated

Special Tissues:
Epiglottis
Esophagus
Pancreas
Liver
Gallbladder
Large Intestine

Anus
Mouth/teeth
