Transcript of COMPOSITE VOLCANO
what are composite volcanoes?
composite volcanoes are also know as strato volcanoes.
composite volcano's are very violent depending of the trapped gases and how much the magma haves in silica rich but they are also quiet eruptions at the some time, because there is not a lot of silica rich in the magma it all depends.
In recorded history, explosive eruptions at subduction zone or convergent-boundary volcanoes have posed the greatest hazard to civilizations. it can kill many people in there eruptions by the ash in the air or by the mesh it does.
composite volcanoes are made by lava and tephra ,this is repeating in alternating layers making a composite volcanoe. they are found mostly where earths plates are in the subduction zone. forming chains along plate boundaries.
composite volcanoes are very violent but quiet volcanoes, depending on the large amount of rich silica and trapped gases.
lava and tephra
composite volcanoes erupt because of viscous magma that clogs the craterpipe in the volcanoes making pressure to the volcanoes crater.
what comes out of a composite volcano is ash, tephra big or small, rocks ,rhyolite, andesite, dacite.

the features of a composite volcano
some of the features that a composite volcano has are that its very steep sides with volcanic neck and the sides of the volcano. some other features that this volcano has is stills ,dikes, bathoiths and symmetrical cones, these are all composite volcano features.
most of there features you see on a composite volcano are features you see on any other volcano like a cinder cone volcano, they have the most common features.
THE CONE OF THE VOLCANO
the environmental impacts that composite volcanoes do to the environment are very damaging to earths crust because when the sulfurous gases from the volcano mixes with the water vapor in the atmosphere, it makes rain acids, all the vegetation, lakesand streams thta are around the vegetation die and the organisms that livethere are forced to move or die.
since the year AD. 1600,nearly 300,00 people have been killed by volcanic eruptions
