Ocean Acidification By Ryan Murray CO 2 + H 2 O H + + H + + CO 3 -2 C means Carbon H means Hydrogen O means Oxygen + means its a positive charge Equation is balanced The reactions depend on temperature and pressure Whats happening is that carbon dioxide is dissolving in the water turning it into a liquid And the ions break apart which causes positive ions Acid in the ocean can really cause damage
