Five Reasons to Visit the Reference Desk You Can Save Time You Haven't Already Thought of We want to talk to you about
your research project If your professor is busy, your friends aren't interested, and you have major brain freeze, we are here to get you unstuck. We can help you brainstorm, narrow, focus, and develop your topic. We LOVE research....Really! Unlike most people, we actually love conducting research. It's why we went to library school. And while sometimes we might look busy or harried when we are sitting behind the desk, don't be afraid to approach us--you will make us very happy! We are subject specialists. In addition to going to library school, many of us have advanced degrees or certificates in other subject areas. You can make an appointment with a library liaison who is not only an expert at research, but also an expert in the field you are researching. You might think that searching Google is quick, and visiting a librarian is slow, but spending only fifteen focused minutes with a reference librarian can save you hours of web searching. Plus, the sources we help you find will impress your professors. We'll Show You How to
do it Yourself. In addition to helping you find research articles and books for your paper, we'll actually teach you research skills along the way that you can use in other classes for other papers. Imagine never getting stressed and overwhelmed by a research paper again...... Here are the reference hours:
Monday--Thursday 8:00 AM--10:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM--5:00 PM
Saturday 7:00 AM--7:00 PM
Sunday 1:00 PM -- 10:00 PM
