Transcript of Adolescence
Adolescence describes the teenage years between 13 and 19 and can be considered the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. However, the physical and psychological changes that occur in adolescence can start earlier, during the preteen or "tween" years (ages 9-12). Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can bring up issues of independence and self-identity. Sometimes adolescents may be experimenting with drugs and alcohol or sexuality. During this time, peer groups and external appearance tend to increase in importance.
Although adolescence means many changes and personal problems, is also a wonderful time to be living in the experiences of joy and satisfaction with bad experiences, serve together to live a maturation process. With wise guidance, support and a good education persevering, adolescence is one of the best and richest stages in the life of a person.
Adolescence ("to grow up") is a transitional stage of physical and psychological human development generally occurring during the period from puberty to legal adulthood. The period of adolescence is most closely associated with the adolescence, though its physical, psychological and cultural expressions can begin earlier and end later. Physical growth, as distinct from puberty, particularly in males, and cognitive development generally seen in adolescence, can also extend into the early twenties.
