Nick Carraway is the main character of Great Gatsby and is the narrator of the story. He moved into a house in West Egg, just out side of New York City, where he becomes the neighbor to Jay Gatsby.

Daisy Buchanan lives in East Egg, just across the harbour from Nick and Mr. Gatsby. She is Nick's cousin and Nick becomes the mediator between Gatsby and Daisy, who are old lovers.

Tom Buchanan is Diasy's husband. They got married and had a child together after Daisy left Gatsby. Tom is unfaithful to Daisy.

Myrtle Wilson was married to Mr.Wilson but was also having an affair with Tom Buchanan. After Tom and Gatsby's dispute at the hotel, Myrtle was hit by a car and killed.
