Transcript of Caring Hands
Not the action out of pity
It's the action of healing
For the benefits of others
For the freedom to free
Life is without meaning
When you accomplish nothing
Standing up for you
Standing up for me
~ David K.
A New Friend:
A girl who seems like a shadow
A face in the hallway no one wants to follow
A vacant memory through the year
She sat beside me, I made a new peer
As she gave me a smile with a gleam
I realized there was more to her than it seemed
As a close friendship arises
So does her personality with great surprises
The wall she had put up has now come to an end
As I've come to know her a person, a student, a friend
~ Suhansie A.
The purpose of this presentation is to remind us of the importance of "caring hands". We are aware of the occurring negative actions such as bullying surrounding this school. We are hoping that this presentation will influence others to make good choices.

In some areas, homeless shelters say they will deny entry to no one. "It's entirely too cold out there," said Simon Randolph, a house supervisor at Bethesda Mission, which runs a 24-hour shelter for men. The National Weather Service is calling for extreme cold conditions through Friday night, with westerly winds pushing wind chill temperatures down to between 20 and 25 degrees below zero.

The world seemed to be turning
Turning out of sight
I tried to slow it down
I tried with all my might
To me the world was crazy
To them it was just fine
I didn't understand it
I thought they must be blind
I decided I should give up
Because they couldn't see
But then that person came
She came to see me
She saw the world like I did
I understood her too
That person cared for everyone
She even cared for you
~ Bailey G.

Randolph said the shelter, which has approximately 100 beds, has mats at the ready in the event that they exceed capacity. So far this bitter winter, the Riley Street shelter has been able to provide shelter for everyone who comes to the doors. Randolph said, "We will try to put them somewhere. We'll find some place for them Even if we are full, we have space for them."
Thank you for listening to our short presentation. We hope you have a new attitude towards caring hands.
Class 74 "Caring Hands"
By: Janko M.
What are Caring Hands?
There is no specific definition of caring hands, but there are varieties of ways to be a caring person.
To find some answers, we asked students in our class for their opinions on what caring hands means to them.

We care for our parents,
We care for our teachers,
We care for our siblings and friends
Even though are siblings are not fair
We still care, and always will
So be kind and honest,
To your parents, teachers, siblings and friends
To represent a caring hand!
