Beach City Surf Promotions has developed a budget that has been approved by Vans Shoes. Our budget includes our cost to market the event, set- up and take down, the beer garden, security, rental of equipment, prize money, rental of restaurant, and marketing.

Vans and Beach City Promotions are excited to announce that in addition to the exciting events occurring May 1-3, the Beach Walk Board Shop is offering a great opportunity to attendees to give back to the community. Previous to and during the event, raffle tickets can be purchased at the customer service booth, at the Beach Walk Board Shop or at their booth. The proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards the “Save the Trestles” campaign launched by the Surfrider Foundation. The money will be used to clean the beach and protect the local wildlife. Tickets are $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for six (6).

The winning ticket will be drawn at 6:00pm on the 3rd during the opening ceremony. You do not have to be present to win. Winner will receive a custom surfboard from Beach Walk Board Shop that has been signed by all the surf competition contestants and designed by local artist Fred Boltz. We pride ourselves in every aspect of our work, which ranges from full marketing campaigns to one-time events. Our executive team has years of experience and insight, and strive to use extreme sports to develop beneficial relationships between sports marketing professionals and the local public Beach City Surf Promotions strives to produce successful events and advertising campaigns for local “Action Sports” businesses. We organize and promote events that local businesses are trying to plan. We do everything from the set- up and take down of equipment to marketing the event to the local public.
Vans Shoes has asked us to put together a local surfing competition at Trestles Beach, San Clemente. The event will host many local surf heroes and also many world-renowned surfers. It will be a 3-day event held from May 1-3. Parking will be held at the local Carl’s Jr. and we will have a shuttle to and from the competition.
The after party will be hosted at “Fisherman’s Restaurant” on the pier in San Clemente. We will rent the restaurant Sunday May 3, 2011 and have the final awards ceremony. The 200 invited guests will have dinner and drinks provided by Vans Shoes. First place will win $35,000 and a Ford F-150, Second place will win $10,000, and Third place will win $5,000.
The marketing for the competition will be in a variety of vehicles. Point-of- sale marketing will be used at many local surf shops, where they can purchase tickets. We have developed multiple print ads for surf magazines that will attract a national audience. There will be multiple raffles and promotional giveaways for the audience ranging from Vans Shoes stickers and custom shoes, to the grand prize giveaway which is a custom surfboard signed by all of the competitors at the competition. Beach-goers are in for a treat as surfers take to the waves to compete for prize money and honor.

Laguna Beach, Ca. April 21, 2011- In the grand tradition of beach bums and bunnies, Beach City Surf Promotions announces the third annual “Vans California Collections Surf Contest” competition in San Clemente, California May 1-3. Those wishing to enter the contest can sign up for $25 online at www.vans.com, or onsite the day of the competition for $50. Winner receives $3,5000 and a new Ford F-150, second place $10,000 and third $5,000.

Event sponsors will be onsite to support this event. Vans shoes will have demonstrations as well as door prizes to be given out throughout the day. Wahoo’s taco truck will be offering tacos for a reduced price. Additional booths including Billabong, Ford of San Clemente, AquaHydrate sports water, Long Beach Chiropractic, Pinkberry, Power Bands, and many others will be offering sales, services, and lots of free swag.

Media at the event will include Surfing Magazine, Surf ‘N Sun Magazine, Ride a Wave Magazine, KROQ Los Angeles-based radio station, Fox 11 news, and carveasplash.com.

In addition to the excitement, a custom surfboard worth $1200 signed by all the contestants will be raffled off on May 3rd. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Surfrider booth on the day of the event or at the Beach Walk Board Shop the week prior. No purchase necessary and you do not have to be present to win. The proceeds from the tickets purchased in the raffle will go to the Surfrider foundation.
