Fun Fact
Ode To Enchanted Light

Under the trees light
has dropped from the top of the sky,
like a green
latticework of branches,
on every leaf,
drifting down like clean
white sand.

A cicada sends
its sawing song
high into the empty air.

The world is
a glass overflowing
with water.

The same constant sound throughout a small grouping of words, especially in a poem stanza.
"A cicada sends its sawing song"
Words agreeing with each other in rythmic sound.
Has dropped from the top of the sky.
A figure of speech
"The world is
a glass overflowing
with water."
two like things are compared usually

______ is like a _______
like a green
latticework of branches,"
applied to something but is not literal
Making a veiled reference to something .
Type: Biblical
"The world is
a glass overflowing
with water."
Psalms 23:5
How does it connect & what verse is it?

"You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings"
This is a perfect photograph of what I think this poem is representing. Pictured above are a few rays of sunlight that have somehow snuck their way through the dense layers of the rainforest, and made it to the ground. Because of all the foliage it is hard for the light to reach this far so when it does it is special. The light is now "enchanted" as it is a rarity to reach such a clearing in the rainforest.
"Has dropped from the top of the sky"
