Familiarize the participants on self-evaluation scales and institutional and programmatic accreditation standards for institutions of higher education and how to verify the performance indicators.

A type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met. If standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency.

The process of initial self-evaluation is the first step in the strategic planning process for quality assurance and improvement.
The goals of initial self-evaluation
1- Contribute to the dissemination of quality culture.
2-Identify strengths.
3-Identify weaknesses .
4. Prepare strategic plan.
5. Prepare the university for the external audit.
6. Converts the data to indicators, signs and help policy-makers and decision-makers, researchers and scholars.
7. Gain the beneficiaries's trust and the scientific educational institutions both internally and externally.
