This virus corrupts the
immune system and makes
it vulnerable to any
infections and rare camcers
Human immunodeficiency virus
EFFECTS OF HIV/AIDS
White blood cells that help protect the body against invading microorganisms.
HIV destroys these cells and makes the body sucseptible to foreign and invading microorganisms.


Lymphocytes
Normally, the immune system fights infection, invading and foreign microorganisms with the help of WBC's in an attempt to maintain homeostasis.

After infected the body will be vulnerable and suceptible and wouldnt be able to fight infection as it normally would

PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)
Diagnosis
There is no cure for the HIV/AIDS virus but there are vaccines which are preventive and therapeutic such as AZT and protease inhibitors.
Treatment
Eventualy once the host becomes infected most people do not know and theeir survival rate drops drastically.
